Gate Keypad
Keypads located at the gates are used by airline staff to enter changes to a flight's status, such as, "Now Boarding", "Final Call" or "Departed", which is easier than contacting the airport operation staff by intercom and requesting that the change to the flight’s status be entered.
DII offer a microterminal to enter flight status from the gates. It has a 16-key numeric keyboard with host programmable function keys for ease of operator input. The silicone rubber keys provide environmental sealing with tactile feedback, and both key click and key repeat functions. There is a large, easy-to-read, high contrast Liquid Crystal Display suitable for most panel mount applications. The whole is sealed in an ABS plastic case to ensure that the terminal will function well, even in a high dust industrial environment.
The microterminal is ideal for applications where limited data entry is required. It is driven by a local terminal server. The Flight Status' that can be controlled from the keypad are:
1. Clear Flight Status
2. Now Boarding
3. Final Call
4. Flight Closed
5. Departed
Dimensions of the gate keypad are 7.1" x 4.1" x 1.1". The display is 3.9" x 0.5"
